I am delighted to share that earlier this week, I launched the second round of the Council District 9 Community Grant Program. This initiative will provide a total of $3 million in grant funding to a wide variety of organizations serving the South Central LA community.
I firmly believe that community organizations are the backbone of our neighborhoods. They are often the first place families can turn to for support. Whether it’s connecting residents to critical resources, helping young people stay on the right path, or creating safer and stronger communities, these groups play an essential role in the everyday life of South Central LA.
This latest round of funding builds on the success of the CD 9 Community Grant Program launched in 2022, when we awarded $4 million to nearly 100 local organizations.
Organizations can now apply for grants ranging from $5,000 to $100,000 to support programs and services that directly benefit residents in CD 9. Click here to apply. Applications will be accepted online through June 7. For additional information, contact the District Office at (323) 846-2651.
