On April 7, Team Price joined forces with LA Sanitation, City of Los Angeles Department of Public Works, Mayor Karen Bass' Office, LAPD, and the LA City Attorney's Office, to clean up and restore safety to a vacant lot at 854 E. 87th St. This space had fallen into disrepair following the homeowner's passing, resulting in numerous reported violations for hazardous conditions, including overgrown vegetation, trash, debris, and multiple fires.
For the past three years, the Office of Councilmember Price had worked tirelessly to address safety risks and community concerns related to this site. With the support of the Mayor’s Inside Safe Program, several unhoused Angelenos living on the lot were placed into temporary housing.
