Dear Neighbors,
This past June 20, Team Price welcomed neighbors from across Council District 9 for our Fourth Annual Juneteenth Block Party. This yearly celebration brings our community together to honor Juneteenth, reflect on its history, and recognize its lasting significance.
Juneteenth marks a day of freedom, dignity, and the ongoing pursuit of equality in the United States. It is my privilege to recognize this important occasion by bringing our community together to celebrate with music, fellowship, and shared experiences. It was wonderful to see families visiting local vendors and community resource booths, enjoying performances from talented local artists, and ending the afternoon with an incredible performance by Goapele.
Events like this are only possible because of the people who make them happen. Thank you to our partners at Experience Christian Ministries (ECM), the Coalition for Responsible Community Development (CRCD), our volunteers, vendors, performers, and everyone who joined us.
