Thanks for the Memories (2).png
Dear Neighbors,

This year’s 30th Annual Central Avenue Jazz Festival was one I’ll never forget. As host, it was incredible to see thousands of music lovers, families, and neighbors fill Central Avenue on Sept. 20 to celebrate three decades of jazz, culture, and community in the historic heart of South Central.

From Gregory Porter’s soulful voice, to Poncho Sánchez’s Latin jazz rhythms, to the artistry of Jazzmeia Horn, the music reminded us all why this festival has become such a cornerstone of our community. What made all of us at Team Price the proudest was seeing every generation represented — kids making crafts, families dancing in the street, and neighbors connecting with resources that uplift and empower.

After 30 years, the Jazz Festival is still proof of how deep our roots run and how powerful music is in bringing Angelenos together. And if this milestone showed us anything, it’s that the best is still to come.

I’m grateful to everyone who came out, to all the artists who shared their gifts, and to our community for making this anniversary one for the books. I can’t wait to see how we raise the bar for next year.
