In February, Councilmember Price toured King Solomon Village, an interim shelter offering custom dome living spaces and storage for 100 of our unhoused neighbors. When completed in March, this will be a pet-friendly facility offering individuals experiencing homelessness access to recreational areas and social services with opportunities for advancement.
Over the past two years, Councilmember Price has invested more than $33 million of funding towards housing our unhoused neighbors. Under the Councilmember's leadership, 419 beds have been completed with an additional 766 beds coming this summer. Moreover, since 2019, the Councilmember has approved more than 3,332 units of affordable and homeless housing.
King Solomon Village is one piece of the puzzle of a multi-layered approach Team Price is leading to address the homelessness crisis in the Ninth District. For more information, call the District Office at (323) 846-2651.
