As an increasing number of seniors continue to struggle with food insecurity, the City is continuing a partnership between the Department of Aging (DOA) and Everytable, delivering free meals to elderly individuals across Los Angeles.
Seniors represent the fastest-growing homeless population in California, underscoring the urgency of providing support to help older adults stay healthy and housed. The DOA has identified approximately 6,000 food-insecure seniors in the region who could greatly benefit from this citywide program.
