After years of planning, the moment has arrived. Team Price invites the community to join us on March 28, for the official groundbreaking of the Slauson Connect Recreation and Education Center.
The $40 million community hub will be located along Slauson Avenue, adjacent to Metro's Rail to Rail corridor, between Normandie and Budlong Avenues. Designed as a multipurpose space, the center will bring residents together while offering programs and amenities for all ages. Plans include digital media arts programs such as broadcasting and game design, a green screen studio, a daycare center, after-school programming, pedestrian and bike pathways, and a vegetative roof terrace for gathering and relaxation.
The groundbreaking marks a major milestone for the Slauson Connect project and an investment in the future of District 9. The community is invited to celebrate with a special ceremony, food trucks, resources and activities for all ages.
