“We are the wolves, the mighty, mighty wolves!”
On Aug. 7, the LA City Council celebrated the accomplishments of the South Los Angeles Wolves, a group of young Black and Brown girls who have emerged as a dominant force to be reckoned with in the Southern California soccer scene.
The Wolves, composed of 9- and 10-year-olds from Districts 8, 9, 10, and 11, finished the American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO) season with an incredible 59-1 record, going undefeated (4-0) at the prestigious Aloha International Cup.
These 12 girls consistently showcased their competitive edge and determination to succeed at the highest level, proudly representing their City with every goal they scored.
Go Wolves! The world awaits your greatness.
