On Nov. 30, Councilmember Price attended the dedication of the corner of 52nd Street and Hoover Boulevard in tribute to the Rose of Sharon Missionary Baptist Church and its visionary leaders, Rev. John and First Lady Jean Railback.
Through providing meals to those in need, organizing recreational activities for the youth, and serving as a sanctuary for those seeking refuge, the Rose of Sharon Missionary Baptist Church has consistently embodied the true spirit of community service in South Central LA for over six decades.
The square dedication stands as a lasting testament to the church, which has gifted the community a roadmap of how living a life filled with purpose can positively impact lives for generations to come.
