On March 4, Councilmember Price attended the ribbon-cutting for KIPP Scholar Academy (KSA), commemorating the establishment of the school's permanent home in South Central.
The award-winning charter public school with a focus on performing arts, offers various activities such as drumline, cheerleading, step teams, and choir for grades 5-8 in South Los Angeles. It is the second KIPP School in the Ninth District.
Team Price is dedicated to collaboratively working towards fostering a community where every young individual is empowered to excel and realize their full potential.
"Success depends on access to crucial resources and the instillation of strong values, both of which students will receive here at KIPP Scholar Academy," Councilmember Price said in his remarks in front of hundreds of students, teachers, faculty, and community members at the inaugural ceremony.
