On Oct. 7, the Green Meadows community, along 89th Street between San Pedro and Avalon, was transformed into a vibrant playground as part of the LA Play Streets program.
Led by the LA Department of Transportation, this initiative reinvents public spaces, providing an affordable and enjoyable opportunity for neighbors to come together and have fun. The community-driven event featured dance, music, family activities, and more, all with the goal of improving public health, neighborhood safety, and fostering stronger community connections.
