Ms. Loma
After 49 years of public service to the City of Los Angeles, Team Price bids farewell to Ms. Loma White as she retires this October 2025.

Born in Dallas, Texas, as one of 12 children, Ms. White moved to California early in life and excelled as a student at Thomas Jefferson High School in District 9. Her career began with the Los Angeles City Board of Education, followed by work at Sears, Roebuck and Co. In 1976, she made history as the first woman assigned to a Los Angeles Sanitation Division refuse crew, breaking gender barriers in the male dominated field.

In 1997, Ms. White collaborated with community members and the Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles (HACLA) to secure resources and amplify residents’ voices for the Pueblo Del Rio housing project.

Ms. White has collaborated with notable civic leaders such as former Councilmembers Gilbert Lindsay, Rita Walters, and Jan Perry, concluding her tenure with the Office of Councilmember Price as a Senior Field Deputy.

As she retires, Team Price honors her trailblazing leadership and enduring commitment to the South Central community. Congratulations, Ms. Loma!
