Dear Neighbors,
Team Price is still carrying the joy and sense of purpose from the CD 9 Women’s Leadership Summit: Rooted in Culture, Rising in Power, held on May 3 at The Beehive. Hundreds of women from across South Los Angeles and beyond came together for a meaningful day of conversation and connection.
From elected officials and longtime advocates to entrepreneurs, educators, mothers, and young women finding their voice, the summit brought together individuals from many walks of life. There was honesty in the conversations, encouragement throughout the room, and a genuine sense of support between women who shared many of the same hopes for their families and communities.
The summit marked the first event of its kind led by my Office since the pandemic, and my team and I were proud to help bring this experience to Council District 9. We are deeply grateful to every speaker, performer, volunteer, and attendee who helped make the day possible. It was a beautiful reminder of the power of women coming together with intention and purpose.
