Bureau of Street Services has made significant headway on the Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard Streetscape project in District 9. Currently, four out of the seven medians between Figueroa and Central have been completely constructed, including the Broadway Triangle, Hill Street Triangle, Broadway Place median, and the Avalon Boulevard median.
You can watch the progress as the remaining three medians are still undergoing construction throughout the month of May. Upon the completion of all medians, the reconstruction of all bus zones along the corridor will begin. This phase will involve the installation of new bus pads and bus waiting areas to enhance pedestrian access to public transportation.
