Odilia Romero was honored as District 9’s Woman of Impact during this year's LA City Council Women’s History Month celebration on March 14.
As co-founder and executive director of the Indigenous women-led nonprofit CIELO, Odilia has dedicated her life to uplifting Indigenous communities, amplifying their voices, and fighting for human rights. A proud Zapotec grassroots organizer, she has been a driving force in breaking down barriers for Indigenous immigrants – championing equity, representation and opportunity.
