Bonjour Neighbors,

I am thrilled to be back with you after an inspiring week-long journey this September, as part of the LA delegation to the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. During the trip, my colleagues and I learned invaluable lessons from our friends in Paris as we prepare to bring the torch home for the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

As a proud member of the Ad Hoc Committee on the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games, I had the privilege of joining Mayor Karen Bass and my fellow council colleagues in Paris to cheer on Team USA. We are united in our commitment to ensuring that the LA28 Games uplift our communities, enhance our neighborhoods, and celebrate the spirit of the people in our great City.

While in Paris, I had the privilege of watching some incredible events, including the Women's Long Jump, Women's Discus Throw, and the Men's 100m and many other unforgettable triumphs, which are a testament to the commitment and determination to compete at this level.

The Games coming to LA are more than a sporting event; they are a chance to showcase our City on the world stage. It is also a prime opportunity to strengthen our workforce with new jobs, and support small businesses, while celebrating the athletes and the spirit they embody.

The next four years promise to be an exciting time, let the countdown to LA28 begin!
