On Tuesday, the Los Angeles City Council approved a Transportation Committee report to amend the Los Angeles Municipal Code (LAMC) to reduce speed limits on certain street segments throughout the City. Within Council District 9, the speed limit on Central Avenue between Florence and the City limit south of 120th Street was reduced from 40 mph to 35 mph.
