The LA City Council approved a resolution in support of the Paycheck Fairness Act; federal legislation S. 728 (Murray) and H.R. 17 (DeLauro). The resolution notes that women earn on average 77 cents less for every dollar that men earn and the wage disparity particularly impacts women of color.
The Paycheck Fairness Act will provide new tools to ensure pay equity, as it recognizes the value of every person fairly, strengthens individuals, families and communities. To read the resolution click here.
