The City Council unanimously approved a Housing and Homelessness Committee report relative to the establishment of a Right to Counsel Ordinance and program. Councilmember Price has long supported actions such as these. In the past he has hosted special community forums alongside Bet Tzedek Legal Services so that residents can learn more about changes surrounding renters’ rights and protections in the City of Los Angeles. He has also previously supported motions that require relocation assistance for tenants and no-fault evictions for all residential units.
