The countdown is on. Join us March 28, we break ground on the Slauson Connect Recreation & Education Center—one of the most significant investments in Council District 9 in recent years.
This $40 million, 1.5-acre project marks a major step forward for South Central. It introduces new green space for families, safe places for children to play, and hands-on pathways for young people to explore digital media and creative careers; all along a corridor that has long deserved this level of investment.
Slauson Connect will help reshape this stretch of Slauson, opening doors and bringing new opportunities to our community. This is one of the most transformative projects delivered during my time in office, and it will stand as part of CD 9's legacy for years to come.
