On March 28, Team Price broke ground on the Slauson Connect Recreation & Education Center, a $40 million investment bringing more green space, childcare, and after-school programs into the heart of District 9.
You could feel the energy right away; families out, bikes rolling along the corridor, neighbors showing up for something that’s really theirs. Once complete, the space will include youth development classrooms, recreation areas, a net-zero energy building, and an extensive roof garden, all connected by walking and bike paths along the Rail-to-Rail corridor.
It’s all coming together to create a space families can enjoy, grow in, and come back to every day.
